In India, digital payment is fast penetrating. Hitachi provides merchant-centric analytics solution based on huge and dynamic transaction data for early risk prediction for sustainable revenue growth.
Digital payment research activity focuses on developing data analytics solutions targeting the operational improvement of different payment channels including ATM, Point-of-Sale (PoS) and other emerging channels. For instance, we research on solutions to enhance the efficiency of merchant management services by analyzing merchant’s behavior, while identifying suspicious payment transactions. From digital transaction data with dynamic pattern, we aim to provide memory-based and noise-sensitive predictions to enable real-time merchant profiling.
We also develop techniques to forecast demand for cash replenishment of ATMs so that cash-in-transit (CIT) service providers can prepare optimized routes and schedule for an effective cash replenishment operation with the objective of reducing instances of out-of-cash situation or idle-cash situation at ATM sites.
