  • Welcome address by Rustom Irani from Hitachi Payment Services set the pace for the session to exchange views on evolution of Indian economy from rural areas of the country. The panel spoke about the cash and digital payment structure being augmented greatly post-demonetization. The third session commenced with dialogues about the overall interconnection across all the modes of transport available in India, suggesting advancement in one or more forms of transportation will encourage the progression of public transport in totality. An expected rise in the utilization of the railway system within the coming decade was conferred with respect to the implementation of multi-modal transportation systems. The employment of advanced technology and innovative applications using an aggregator business model was focused on as a means to significantly benefit the transportation system in India, thus in turn, aiding the formation of a brighter next-generation.

For India to stand on an internationally competitive pedestal, the central and the state government need to unite and drive the e-Governance initiative. E-Governance was discussed as an effective means to swiftly identify challenges and implement solutions. An important feature of this session was the notably engaging live-demonstration of Alexa, which not only held the attention of the audience but also gave insights into the beneficial utilization of AI.
