India's digital payment and cash landscape has undergone major changes post demonetization. While cash recycling machines are set to replace ATMs over a period of time, panelists emphasized the need to implement faster payment systems and innovative banking products in a secure environment. CXO Round Table Session began with a welcome address by the Managing Director of Hitachi India, Mr. Bharat Kaushal. The attendees got first-hand introduction to Social Innovation and e-Governance. He spoke about how the technology is changing the scenario in India and what to expect next. Mr. Kaushal also spoke about Hitachi India’s strong presence in India through its 28 group companies and how these companies can benefit diverse industry sectors in India.
While the real India resides in the villages, panel cited various examples to showcase how technology is making way into rural areas. During the discussions, Artificial Intelligence or AI emerged as the next game changer. The panelist echoed the need to leverage AI to develop solutions that would impact the common man in a good, fast and effective way.
