To give Social Innovation Business a new dimension through utilization of digital technologies and foster new partnerships, Hitachi, in association with Business Today, orchestrated Hitachi Social Innovation Forum 2018 DELHI. The event exhibited lengthy discussions on Social Innovation and the role of Collaborative Creation with customers in the digital transformation journey of India. The participants included top senior executives of prospective companies, government authorities and market influencers like Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, and several others.

Recently brought into limelight by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri. Narendra Modi as ‘ease of living’, Hitachi has been a vital part of this ‘Transformation’ by involving its stakeholders through Collaborative Creation. Carrying forward the torch of digital transformation, Hitachi gave the delegates a chance to witness Social Innovation in action. During several engaging discussions, the delegates outlined various strategies through which technology pioneers can collaborate with the government to overcome the different challenges. Currently, Indian society is facing several hurdles across different industry verticals such as energy, manufacturing, banking and urban development. The panelists discussed about the possible combination of IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) as the ideal solution for such challenges.

With this fact, the discussion was directed towards “The Power of Hitachi Vantara” and how it is assisting the organizations to achieve the real value of the data through its multi-aspected data management services. What came through this discussion was a strong nod to technologies such as Big Data Analytics, AI and ICT in the journey of the Digital Transformation of India.

  • With smart cities becoming the core of several research paradigms, the concept of Smart Urban Navigation can’t be missed. Hitachi brought the concept into limelight and highlighted the utilization of data in the overall improvement of the Indian transportation system. Emphasis was laid to probe the Big Data to get an understanding on how to optimize the crowd and passenger flow management at stations, surveillance system, etc. Inter-modality that includes the interconnectivity of different modes of transport was an important part of the discussion. Such viable solutions backed with data analytics would result in an efficient Indian Transportation System and a great travel experience for the commuters.
