A seminar on people flow analysis technology and a presentation about the elevator technology that achieved the world’s fastest speed will be offered

Mumbai, India, February 22, 2018 --- Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501, “Hitachi”), Hitachi Building Systems Co., Ltd. (“Hitachi Building Systems”), which operates elevator and escalator business in Japan, Asia and Middle East, and Hitachi Lift India Pvt. Ltd. (“Hitachi Lift India”), a sales and service company of elevator and escalator in India, today announced that they will exhibit Hitachi’s latest technology, safety and comfort of their elevators and escalators as well as offer a presentation and a seminar on the latest technology at the “International Elevator & Escalator Expo 2018 (IEE Expo 2018)” held in the Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India, from February 27 through March 1, 2018.
During the period, a Japanese engineer of Hitachi will give a seminar on Hitachi’s people flow analysis technology at a seminar space in the convention centre. This technology simulates flows of people in existing or planned buildings with the architectural layout and the elevator facilities taken into consideration. This technology is useful for optimizing the traffic line in the buildings.
In the Hitachi booth, they will offer a presentation to introduce the world’s fastest speed (1) elevator technology as well as “FIBEE®”, an elevator destination floor reservation system which realizes the smooth movement of users, and exhibit mockups of “Series UAG-SN1”, a machine room less elevator, and “TX series”, a new escalator model launched in August 2017.
Hitachi established Hitachi Lift India in January 2008, and since then it has delivered its products including high speed elevators for luxury residences, hotels and offices. In Mumbai, Hitachi Lift India opened an office in 2008, and it has enhanced its operations in sales, installation and maintenance. Hitachi Lift India currently operates in 7 major cities, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. By introducing the latest technology used for Hitachi’s world fastest speed elevators running at 1,260 m/min into the Indian market, Hitachi will contribute to provide highly functional and safe products.

Hitachi announced that the ultra-high-speed elevators for a mixed-use skyscraper in Guangzhou, China achieved the speed of 1,260 m/min (75.6km/h), which was verified in the running test on June 2, 2017 (2). In IEE Expo 2018, Hitachi will introduce technology for the world fastest speed elevators and its safety.
